Product Introduction
There are two ways in which KDF process media control microorganisms. The first way is a by-product of redox; an electrolytic field in which most microorganisms can't survive is set up by the exchange of electrons.
The second way interferes with the microorganisms' ability to function, by the process of forming hydroxyl radicals and peroxides from some of the water molecules.

KDF is effective in removing residual chlorine, and its ability to remove residual chlorine is more than ten to dozens of times that of activated carbon.
KDF has a very strong removal effect on heavy metal ions.
KDF has a certain degree of scale inhibition effectiveness.

Parameters
Inlet water pressure: 0.1-0.4 MPa.
Applicable water temperature: 5°C - 45°C.
Applicable water quality: municipal tap water.
Service life: 6-9 months (depending on local water quality)
Iodine value: above 1000 or optional for customers.
Note: It is normal for toner to fall off during initial use, please rinse after installation.
Application
KDF filters are often used with an activated carbon filter because they help reduce chlorine build-up which will prolong the life and increase the effectiveness of carbon filters. KDF Filters also supplement the activated carbon filters by removing heavy metals, which carbon-based filters do not remove very effectively.
