Built within a standard 20ft container, the system features a compact layout, strong structural protection and convenient transportation, enabling rapid deployment even in areas with limited construction conditions. Adopting specialized SWRO design with high-salt-rejection membranes, it efficiently removes dissolved salts, microorganisms, heavy metals and organic pollutants from seawater, producing fresh water that meets international drinking water standards. To adapt to corrosive seawater conditions, key components including pumps, piping and instruments are made of anti-corrosion materials, while the pretreatment system is optimized to address high turbidity, algae and organic matter commonly found in seawater. The integrated PLC control system realizes automatic operation, automatic flushing, liquid level control and safety protection, reducing operational difficulty and improving reliability. Products Principle
Raw Water Intake and Buffering: Offshore seawater (TDS ≤35000ppm) is extracted through a special water intake device and enters a buffer pool for water volume adjustment to reduce the impact of water intake fluctuation on the system, and at the same time, large particle sediment and impurities are initially precipitated.
Pretreatment Link: As a key pre-step of seawater desalination, the core purpose is to remove suspended solids, algae, organic matter, residual chlorine and part of hardness in seawater, prevent RO membrane pollution, scaling and corrosion, and ensure the long-term stable operation of membrane modules. Specifically including: ① Coagulation and Sedimentation: Add coagulant to make small suspended solids and algae in seawater aggregate into large particles and precipitate for removal; ② Quartz Sand Filtration: Through multi-layer quartz sand medium, filter and remove large particle impurities and suspended solids after sedimentation to reduce water turbidity; ③ Activated Carbon Filtration: Adsorb organic matter, peculiar smell and residual chlorine in seawater to avoid residual chlorine corroding RO membrane; ④ Dosing and Anti-Scaling Treatment: Add special scale inhibitor to inhibit seawater scaling on RO membrane surface, and add corrosion inhibitor to reduce seawater corrosiveness; ⑤ Security Filtration: Adopt 5μm precision filter to filter fine impurities and provide the last protection for RO membrane.
High-Pressure Boosting Link: The pretreated seawater is boosted by a high corrosion-resistant high-pressure pump to 3.6-6.5MPa (special working pressure for seawater RO membrane), which meets the pressure requirement for reverse osmosis desalination and provides power for seawater to pass through the membrane module.
Core RO Desalination Link: This is the core process of seawater desalination. It adopts special high-pressure and corrosion-resistant RO membrane modules for seawater. Using the selective permeability of semi-permeable membrane, under high pressure, fresh water in seawater passes through the membrane layer, while dissolved salts (such as sodium chloride), heavy metal ions, organic matter and other impurities are intercepted by the membrane to form concentrated brine for discharge. The desalination rate of this link is ≥97%, up to 98.5%, which can reduce the TDS of seawater from about 36000mg/L to below 500mg/L. At the same time, ERD energy recovery device can be optionally configured to recover the residual energy of concentrated brine and reduce system energy consumption.
Post-Treatment Link: According to the water demand, the RO produced water is further treated to ensure that the water quality meets the use standard: ① pH Value Adjustment: Adjust the pH value of produced water to neutral to improve the taste of drinking water; ② Disinfection Treatment: Adopt UV disinfection or ozone disinfection to kill microorganisms and bacteria in produced water to ensure drinking water safety; ③ Mineralization Treatment (Optional): Add an appropriate amount of minerals to make the produced water more in line with human drinking needs.
Produced Water Storage and Transportation: The treated qualified fresh water enters the water storage tank for storage and is transported to the water point through the transfer pump. At the same time, the system monitors the produced water quality in real time. If the water quality is not up to standard, it will automatically alarm and switch to the circulation treatment mode to ensure stable water outlet.
Cleaning and Discharge: The RO membrane modules are regularly chemically cleaned to restore membrane performance; The concentrated brine produced by the system is discharged in line with environmental protection standards after treatment to avoid environmental pollution.
